CHICAGO — A patient is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation and Northwestern Medical Group, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Dixie Davis filed a complaint on April 17 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to her.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she experienced pain from having developed pressure ulcers at the facility in April 2015. The plaintiff holds the hospital group responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to the plaintiff to prevent the development of pressure ulcers, which worsened to Stages 4 and 5.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by the Law Offices of Scott B. Wolfman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
