Phillip Metals defaulted on six-figure invoice for sales and marketing work, lawsuit says

CHICAGO — A Chinese corporation is suing Phillip Metals Inc., citing alleged breach of contract for failing to pay for sales and marketing services.

Marcegaglia Co. Ltd. filed a complaint on March 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Phillip Metals, based in Illinois, alleging it failed to pay the plaintiff based on their agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendant breached its agreement with the plaintiff by defaulting in its obligation to pay the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks the outstanding balance in the sum of $647,427 and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by James M. Crowley and Matthew L. Hendricksen of Crowley & Lamb P.C. in Chicago.
