Woman claims she was harassed, discriminated against while working for University Park, then fired

CHICAGO — A former HR manager is suing Village of University Park Illinois, citing alleged discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination.

Maxine Jackson filed a complaint on March 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the village alleging the employer discriminated against and harassed the plaintiff during her employment before wrongfully firing her in January 2016.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she experienced discrimination and sexual harassment and was terminated in retaliation.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks $500,000 in compensatory damages, plus punitive damages, court costs, interest and attorney fees. She is represented by Christopher Bargione of Collins Bargione & Vuckovich in Chicago.
