Man alleges personal trainer at Xsport oversaw workout routine that caused injury

CHICAGO — A man is suing Capital Fitness Inc., which does business as Xsport Fitness, as well as Xsport Personal Training LLC and a personal trainer, saying he was injured while working out using an excessive exercise routine.

Brian Boland filed a complaint on April 21 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide a safe exercise routine to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on April 23, 2015, he sustained physical injuries from participating in an exercise or an activity at his trainer's instruction. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to consider plaintiff's physical condition before providing an exercise routine which allegedly injured him.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. He is represented by Matthew M. Gannon of Healy Scanlon in Chicago.
