Complaint alleges Manor Care staff failed to recognize, treat resident's stroke

CHICAGO — A woman's family is suing Manor Care of Elk Grove Village IL LLC, Barry Glick M.D. and Elizabeth Gerson ANP, alleging the facility and defendant staff were negligent in their care for the now deceased woman.

Lilliana Adich, independent executor of the estate of Milanka Adich, filed a complaint on April 24 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging  they failed to provide proper medical care to Milanka Adich.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff allege  Adich suffered a stroke after the defendants allegedly failed to recognize the signs of stroke and provide the appropriate treatment, eventually leading to her death in May 2015. The staff was allegedly negligent in administering an anticoagulant medicine to the decedent before her stroke.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount grearer than $50,000. She is represented by Charles V. Falkenberg of Karlin, Fleisher & Falkenberg LLC in Chicago.
