CHICAGO — A patient is suing Central Nursing Home and Central Nursing & Rehab Center, claiming it failed to provide proper care to him to avoid bedsores.

Ediberto Lucena filed a complaint on April 27 in Cook County Circuit Court against the facility alleging it failed to provide proper care to the plaintiff while he was being cared for in its facility.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he experienced pain from developing pressure ulcers. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to the plaintiff to prevent the development of ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Molly L. Condon of Hurley McKenna & Mertz P.C. in Chicago.
