CHICAGO — A woman is suing Alden-Orland Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Inc., a nursing facility, on behalf of a deceased relative who she alleges suffered a fall, as well as an infection, resulting in sepsis and pneumonia, while in care at the nursing home.
Shirley Dolmant-Brida, independent administrator of the estate of Donald L. Brida, filed a complaint on April 25 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the facility failed to provide proper care to Donald Brida.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Alden-Orland Park Rehabilitation and Health Care Center failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Donald Brida while he was being taken care of in its facility, contributing to the deterioration of his health.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to satisfy the jurisdictional limits of this court plus court costs. She is represented by Michael Silverman of Horwitz, Horwitz and Associates Ltd. in Chicago.
