Symphony at 87th Street allegedly allowed resident to develop pressure ulcers

Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO — A woman acting as a representative is suing Symphony at 87th Street, a nursing facility, alleging negligence and that insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.

Dallas Ross, by his duly appointed power of attorney Shirley Rogers, filed a complaint on May 2 in Cook County Circuit Court against Symphony at 87th Street alleging the facility failed to provide proper care to Ross.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Ross experienced pain from having developed pressure ulcers and skin breakdown. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Dallas Ross to prevent him from developing pressure ulcers.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Kristen N. Koeller of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
