CHICAGO — A woman is suing Transworld Systems Inc. and Asset Recovery Solutions LLC, alleging misconduct by the defendant collection agencies in their communications.
Amenetta Holsey filed a complaint on April 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the defendants alleging they contacted her directly regarding her debt, despite being notified of having an attorney to represent her.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2016, Transworld and Asset Recovery Solutions allegedly continued to send her reminders of her debt despite having been notified to direct all further collection activities to her attorney.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages, court costs and any further relief as this court grants. She is represented by David J. Philipps, Mary E. Philipps and Angie K. Robertson of Philipps & Philipps Ltd. in Palos Hills.
