CHICAGO — An individual is suing the United States of America, alleging negligence for having her Apple laptop given to someone else after an airport screening.
Grissobel Castro-Silva, of North Carolina, filed a complaint on April 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the federal government alleging that Transportation Security Administration staff failed to return plaintiff's Apple computer to her after an X-ray screening at Midway International Airport.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on Dec. 27, 2016, she was damaged as the result of losing her Apple computer.
