CHICAGO — A man is suing an acquaintance, accusing her of refusing to turn over the proceeds from a $100,000 lottery prize he claims she was helping him collect.
Elisen Hernandez filed a complaint on May 3 in Cook County Circuit Court against Guadalupe Beltran alleging he did not receive the proceeds of a winning lottery ticket that the defendant was accepting $8,000 to collect on behalf of the plaintiff, per a verbal agreement. The plaintiff holds Beltran responsible because the defendant allegedly induced the plaintiff to collect the proceeds of his winning lottery ticket for $8,000, but did not return the amount of $92,000 to him.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant. She is represented by Richard J. Aronson of Bruce Farrel Dorn & Associates in Chicago.
