Ferrari dealer and restorer allegedly failed to deliver rare car in acceptable condition

Contract 07

CHICAGO — An individual is suing M Brandon Motorcars LLC and Sport Classic & Competition LLC, citing alleged breach of contract and fraud, after the company allegedly failed to properly restore a 1984 Ferrari.

Julius Rutili filed a complaint on May 4 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to restore a sports car purchased by the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2015, he sustained financial damages from being billed more than the agreement stated and receiving the car six months after the initial delivery date. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to deliver a 1984 Ferrari to the plaintiff in the condition that both parties agreed to.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, court costs, punitive damages, interest and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Jay S. Berlin and Shawn C. Clancy of Jaffe & Berlin LLC in Chicago.
