CHICAGO — A Wisconsin-based manufacturer is suing The Travelers Indemnity Company and Travelers Casualty and Surety Company, formerly known as The Aetna Casualty and Surety Company, alleging breach of contract and breach of duty.
Magnetek Inc. filed a complaint on April 27 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the defendants alleging they failed to pay the plaintiff's insurance claim.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Magnetek was damaged from having its insurance claim denied. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly breached their contractual agreement by refusing to pay the plaintiff for a claim.
The plaintiff seeks all damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. It is represented by Joel A. Blanchet of Phillips Lytle LLP in Buffalo, New York.
