CHICAGO — An individual is suing Sun-Times Media LLC d/b/a Sun-Times Media Wire, a news service, alleging defamation.

Bianca Morris filed a complaint on May 10 in the Cook County Circuit Court against Sun-Times Media Wire alleging that it published an article which defames the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she sustained damages to her reputation from the article in question. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the defendant allegedly issued false statements in an online Chicago Sun-Times article implicating the plaintiff in a crime she did not commit.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Matthew J. Belcher of Alesky Belcher in Chicago.
