CHICAGO — A woman is suing A & D Import Motors Inc., alleging breach of warranty, fraud, liability, negligence and negligent misrepresentation.

Anna Maciejewski filed a complaint on May 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant alleging the dealership, located on Irving Park Road in Chicago, failed to inform the plaintiff that the vehicles she was purchasing were "rebuilt."

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she was damaged from being misled into purchasing rebuilt cars, meaning cars that had undergone extensive restoration after being in accidents. The plaintiff holds A & D Import Motors Auto Sales responsible because the defendant allegedly knew the vehicles the plaintiff was purchasing were rebuilt, but chose not to inform her at the time of purchase.

The plaintiff seeks that the two sales transactions be rescinded and the defendant return all monetary payments to the plaintiff, as well as actual damages greater than $30,000, punitive damages that exceed $75,000 and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Michael B. Brohman of Roetzel & Andress in Chicago.
