Patient alleges she was struck by staff member at Belmont Village Senior Living

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Belmont Village Senior Living, alleging that she was struck by a member of its staff.

A woman filed a complaint on May 10 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant alleging that its staff failed to provide proper care to the plaintiff while she was being treated at its facility.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was physically injured when she was struck by a staff member. The plaintiff holds the facility responsible because it allegedly failed to properly train its nursing staff and supervise plaintiff's actions while in the facility.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Edward M. Rubin of Rubin Machado & Rosenblum Ltd. in Chicago.
