Woman sues Advocate Christ, three doctors over neurological care of decedent

CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family is suing Advocate Christ Medical Center, Ellen C. Omni M.D., David McElmeel M.D. and Abdul Amine M.D., alleging negligence.

Antoinetta Thomas, as administrator of the estate of Stacy Thomas, filed a complaint on May 11 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to Stacy Thomas.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges tThomas sustained serious physical injuries which led to her death in May 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to relieve intracranial pressure and properly diagnose her neurological condition.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Michael G. Kelly of Kelly & Bracey Law Offices in Chicago.
