CHICAGO — An estate administrator is suing Lakeview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center LLC, alleging negligence for allowing a decedent to develop several health conditions.

George Brown, independent administrator of the estate of Bertha Mae Brown, filed a complaint on May 11 in the Cook County Circuit Court alleging that the nursing facility failed to provide proper care to Bertha Mae Brown.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Bertha Mae Brown experienced pain from having developed sacral and bilateral heal ulcers, a urinary tract infection and sepsis. The plaintiff holds Lakeview responsible because it allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Bertha Mae Brown in order to prevent the development of skin ulcers and other health issues.
