Patient alleges Northwestern Memorial, two doctors failed to treat coronary condition

Medical malpractice 04

CHICAGO — A patient is suing Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Northwestern Medical Group, Jennifer Chan M.D. and Jonathan Andereck M.D., alleging negligence for failing to recognize symptoms of a serious coronary condition.

Mary Depp filed a complaint on May 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she sustained serious physical injuries in January 2016 due to damages to her cardiovascular system which were caused by negligence by the facility and staff. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to recognize the signs of acute coronary syndrome and provide the necessary treatment.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Edward M. Rubin of Rubin Machado & Rosenblum Ltd. in Chicago.
