Suit alleges resident at Windsor Estates Nursing and Rehab developed pressure sores, other injuries

CHICAGO — A man is suing Windsor Estates Nursing and Rehab on behalf of a patient, alleging insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries, liability and negligence.

Anthony J. Mikus, as attorney-in-fact for Florence M. Howe, filed a complaint on May 12 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendant failed to provide Howe with proper care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Howe developed pressure sores, other undisclosed skin wounds and injuries to her coccyx and legs after the defendant allegedly failed o provide adequate supervision and assistance to Howe to prevent her from developing the sores and other injuries.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Peter Nozicka of Trapp & Geller in Chicago.
