Near South Health Clinic, doctor allegedly failed to follow up on 2006 colonoscopy

Medical malpractice 03

CHICAGO —  A woman's family is suing Gail Floyd M.D., and Cook County's Near South Health Clinic, alleging they failed to provide results from a colonoscopy.

Antoine Palton, special administrator of the estate of Deborah Ann Palton, filed a complaint on May 12 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to Deborah Ann Palton.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Palton sustained physical injuries which caused the deterioration of her health. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide follow-up examination and tests to Palton after she had a colonoscopy performed there in 2006.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Bradley Z. Schulman of Motherway & Napleton LLP in Chicago.
