CHICAGO — The relative of a former nursing home patient is suing Council for Jewish Elderly, which does business as CJE Seniorlife, and is also known as Weinberg Community; The Claremont - Buffalo Grove; Nucare Services Corp.; and various nursing staff members, alleging negligence.
Allan Ellison, as independent administrator of the estate of Ruth Ellison, filed a complaint on May 18 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the defendants failed to provide proper care to Ruth Ellison.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Ellison experienced pain and injuries from suffering several falls, as well as other health issues. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to Ellison to prevent her from wandering the premises and assist in her mobility.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that will fairly compensate her. He is represented by Paul D. Richter and Caitlin K. Finnegan of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
