Suit claims woman developed bedsores, other health issues at Jackson Square

Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO — A man is suing Jackson Square Skilled Nursing & Living Center, Nucare Services Corp., and Maestro Consulting Services LLC, alleging his relative developed health issues while a resident at the nursing facility, due to negligence.

Maurice Felters, as independent administrator of the estate of Lillian Felters, filed a complaint on May 18 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging that they failed to provide proper medical care to Lillian Felters.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Felters developed pressure sores and complications to her gastrostomy tube. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to prevent the pressure sores.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Margaret Battersby Black and Andrew R. Manno of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
