CHICAGO — A patient is suing Wesley Place Rehab, a nursing facility, claiming she was injured while being lifted from her wheelchair to her bed.
Pamela Cascio filed a complaint on May 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Wesley Place alleging she suffered a fall. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because one of its certified nursing assistants caused her to fall while performing an improper solo lift from her wheelchair to her bed.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by Susan L. Novosad and Jared M. Reynolds of Levin & Perconti in Chicago.
