CHICAGO — An individual is suing Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Dr. Reuben T. Nichols and Dr. Adeeb Zaer, alleging negligence for failing to make an accurate diagnosis.

McKenzie Campbell Jr. filed a complaint on May 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges his condition was misdiagnosed and his cancer left untreated. The plaintiff holds Mercy Hospital and Medical Center and the two defendant doctors responsible because they allegedly twice diagnosed him as having an ulcer and failed to correctly diagnose his cancer, which went untreated for a significant period of time.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Timothy R. Tyler and Jesse R. Tyler of Tyler Law Offices P.C. in Chicago.
