CHICAGO — A woman is suing Heritage Woods of Bolingbrook and Gardant Management Solutions Inc., a nursing facility, alleging the defendants were negligent in caring for her late father.

Christina Giunta, as executor for the estate of Romeo Fuggiti, filed a complaint on May 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper care to Fuggiti.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Fuggiti was injured severely from developing pneumonia while in the defendants' care. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to recognize and treat Fuggiti's pneumonia.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Jeffrey Schlapp of Schlapp Law Group L.L.C. in Chicago.
