CHICAGO — A family member is suing Jackson Square Skilled Nursing and Living Center and Jackson Corp., alleging negligence for allowing the development of bedsores in a now-deceased resident.

Rochelle Gibson, as independent administrator of the estate of Lillie Gibson, filed a complaint on May 15 in Cook County Circuit Court against Jackson Square Skilled Nursing and Living Center and Jackson Corp. alleging the nursing facility failed to provide proper care to Lillie Gibson.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Gibson developed pressure sores because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Gibson.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Jeffrey Schlapp of Schlapp Law Group L.L.C. in Chicago.
