CHICAGO — A patient is suing Keith R. Boyd M.D., Continental Anesthesia Ltd. and RM Anesthesia LLC, alleging negligence for an error made while administering anesthesia.

Tawana Kemp filed a complaint on May 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she sustained physical injuries from the defendants' error in administering anesthesia before a shoulder surgery, saying the defendants allegedly administered an inappropriate dose of bupivacaine.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by David J. Gallagher of The Vrdolyak Law Group LLC in Chicago.
