Man alleges Briar Place Nursing doctors failed to treat elbow infection

CHICAGO — A man is suing Dr. Robert J. Groya, Dr. Dilip Shah and Dr. Vladimir Urbin, alleging negligence for failing to treat an infection.

Alexander Burak filed a complaint on May 25 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, who are all doctors at Briar Place Nursing Center, alleging they failed to properly treat an infection in his right elbow, which worsened after a drainage procedure. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to timely and properly treat plaintiff's infection.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount adequate to compensate him for his injuries. He is represented by Gabriel Hardy of Goodman Tovrov Hardy & Johnson LLC in Chicago.
