CHICAGO — A painters' union is suing Brookdale Decorating Inc., a contractor, citing alleged breach of contract.
Trustees of the Chicago Painters and Decorators Pension Fund filed a complaint on May 17 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Brookdale alleging the employer failed to remit its employees's contributions to the union.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege the defendant breached its agreement with the plaintiffs by failing to make required monthly contributions on behalf of its union employees.
The plaintiffs seek $44,535.89 for unpaid liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. They are represented by Donald D. Schwartz, James R. Anderson and Grant R. Piechocinski of Arnold and Kadjan LLP in Chicago.
