ROCKFORD — A former employee is suing Micron Industries Corporation and ManPowerGroup US Inc., citing alleged violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act and violation of Workers' Compensation acts.

Leon Medenblik filed a complaint on May 18 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Rockford against the defendants alleging they interfered with the plaintiff's rights under FMLA.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he was wrongfully terminated from his employment after the defendants allegedly failed to inform the plaintiff of his rights to a leave of absence that was qualified under the FMLA.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants for compensatory and liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by John F. Doak of Katz Nowinski P.C. in Moline.
