Autumn Leaves of St. Charles failed to prevent woman's fall, fractured hip

Medical malpractice 02

CHICAGO — A man is suing Autumn Leaves of St. Charles on behalf of a member of his family, claiming the nursing facility was negligent in caring for her.

Paul Lowrance, as independent administrator of the estate of Nell Rose Lowrance, filed a complaint on June 1 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging the facility failed to provide proper medical care to Nell Rose Lowrance.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Lowrance experienced pain and injuries from suffering a fall. The plaintiff holds Autumn Leaves of St. Charles responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision to address her risk of falling, causing her to fall and fracture a hip, which required surgery and contributed to the deterioration of her overall health.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Matthew K. Henry and David M. Resis of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
