CHICAGO — A woman is suing Northwestern Community Hospital; NCH Medical Group; Northwest Community Healthcare; Nathan Lidsky M.D.; and The Intensivist Group S.C., alleging they were negligent in caring for her relative, a deceased former patient.

Linda Canzoneri, individually and as guardian of the estate and person of Joseph Canzoneri, filed a complaint on June 5 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to Joseph Canzoneri.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Joseph Canzoneri experienced pain from complications stemming from a vascular procedure. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to diagnose and treat Joseph Canzoneri's condition, leading to the deterioration of his overall health.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. She is represented by Joseph W. Balesteri of Power Rogers & Smith LLP in Chicago.
