Medical malpractice 07

CHICAGO — A relative is suing Northwest Community Hospital Inc., doctors Scott Pinchot, Daniel R. Conway and Michael Hersh, and Northwest Community Health Services Inc., alleging negligence for a mishap in surgery that led to her family member's death.

Robin Komie filed a complaint on June 6 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to Barry Komie.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Komie's colon was perforated when the defendants allegedly performed surgery on him without first making sure he was a suitable candidate.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Stephan D. Blandin, Michael E. Holden and Rebecca E. Neubauer of Romanucci & Blandin LLC in Chicago.
