Woman claims Advocate Christ hospital responsible for injuries from slip caused by water

Slip02

CHICAGO — A Crestwood woman is suing Advocate Health & Hospitals Corporation d/b/a Advocate Christ Medical Center, alleging negligence for a slip and fall she experienced while at the facility.

Suzette Wiltjer filed a complaint on June 8 in Cook County Circuit Court alleging that the hospital failed to keep its premises reasonably safe for the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was physically injured from slipping and falling. The plaintiff holds Advocate Christ Medical Center responsible because the facility allegedly failed to clean up water that accumulated on the floor.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Blake M. Vance of Coplan & Crane Ltd. in Oak Park.
