Patient claims doctor at Tinley Woods Surgery Center oversedated him

Medical malpractice 08

CHICAGO — A man is suing Tinley Woods Surgery Center, which is also known as Advocate Southwest Ambulatory Surgery Center L.L.C., and Dr. Wilfred Boarden, claiming he was not sedated properly during surgery.

Emanuel Williams filed a complaint on June 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he was severely injured from being oversedated during surgery. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to recognize plaintiff's reduced heartbeat and that he was suffering from hypoxia. Plaintiff claims the oversedation resulted in adverse health effects after the procedure.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. He is represented by Scott B. Wolfman of the Law Offices of Scott B. Wolfman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
