Woman alleges Midwest Orthopaedics, Elmhurst responsible for nerve damage

CHICAGO — A woman is suing David N. Garras M.D., Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush LLC and Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, alleging negligence and insufficient measures taken to prevent injuries.

Ana Gonzalez filed a complaint on June 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she experienced pain from suffering permanent nerve damage when Garras performed surgery on the plaintiff's right foot.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. She is represented by Alfred S. Vano of Spinak & Vano P.C. in Chicago.
