CHICAGO — A man is suing Sinai Health System and Stephen R. Wise M.D. for allegations Wise botched a gastrointestinal surgery, causing the plaintiff pain and injury.

Carlos Estrada filed a complaint on June 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants alleging they failed to provide proper medical care to him.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges he sustained serious physical injuries while being operated upon. The plaintiff holds Sinai Health System and Wise responsible because the defendant doctor allegedly made a mistake while stapling tissue during the GI surgery.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount that exceeds the jurisdictional limits of this court. He is represented by Bridget Duignan of Latherow & Duignan in Chicago.
