Manorcare of Hinsdale nursing facility allegedly failed to address woman's risk for falls

Medical malpractice 01

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Manorcare of Hinsdale, alleging negligence in treating a deceased family member.

Siran Eller, as independent administrator of the estate of Barbra Tokmanian, filed a complaint on June 8 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendant alleging the nursing facility failed to provide proper medical care to Tokmanian.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Tokmanian experienced pain from suffering a fall. The plaintiff holds Manorcare of Hinsdale responsible because the facility allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to Tokmanian to address her risk of falling.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Kristen N. Koeller of The Law Offices of Steven J. Malman & Associates P.C. in Chicago.
