Woman claims Central Credit Services made automatic calls for debt she doesn't owe

CHICAGO — A woman is suing Central Credit Services LLC, a debt collector, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Renee Martin filed a complaint on May 30 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Central Credit Services LLC alleging the debt collector made several collection calls to the plaintiff's cellular phone.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Central Credit Services used an automatic telephone dialing system to call the plaintiff for a debt she does not owe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and punitive damages, court costs, injunction against the defendant and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Nathan C. Volheim of Sulaiman Law Group Ltd. in Oak Brook.
