Collectors including Landmark Realty, Central Credit allegedly sought debt that was already paid

CHICAGO — A man is suing Landmark Realty of Illinois LLC; Fenton & McGarvey P.S.C.; Lyons, Coello & Associates; Central Credit Services LLC; and First National Collection Bureau of America, alleging misrepresentation in debt collection.

Richard Constantine filed a complaint on May 30 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against the defendants alleging they provided false and misleading information to the plaintiff regarding his debt.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendants contacted him regarding a debt he had paid in 2008.

The plaintiff seeks for the defendants to cease further collection efforts, as well as actual damages, punitive damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. He is represented by Lance A. Raphael and Craig R. Frisch of Consumer Advocacy Center P.C. in Chicago.
