Schaumburg Hotels guest alleges bed bug infestation

CHICAGO — A hotel guest is suing Schaumburg Hotels LLC, which does business as Holiday Inn Rolling Meadows Schaumburg Chicago Hotel, and Rolling Meadows Properties LLC, after she was allegedly bitten by beg bugs during her stay at the hotel.

Jamesha Terry filed a complaint on June 13 in Cook County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging they failed to provide a proper, well-maintained room to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Schaumburg Hotels failed to make sure the room she rented had no bed bug infestation before turning it over to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000. She is represented by Brett A. Manchel of Levinson and Stefani in Chicago.
