Former patient accuses Palos Community Hospital, others of failing to prevent pressure sore

CHICAGO — A former patient is suing Palos Community Hospital, Advocate Christ Medical Center and Manorcare Health Services - Palos Heights West for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence.

John Dorgan filed a complaint on June 15 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide him with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he developed a pressure sore, which later got infected. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide adequate supervision and assistance to prevent the development of the pressure sore.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount sufficient to compensate the plaintiff. He is represented by Jonathan W. Young of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
