O'Hare Airport visitor sues over fall near terminal entrance

Slip01

CHICAGO — An O'Hare International Airport visitor is suing the city of Chicago after he fell on an uneven surface near a railed cab stand.

Thomas Vantilburg filed a complaint on June 22 in the Cook County Circuit Court against the city, Chicago Department of Aviation, O'Hare International Airport, Chicago Airport System and O'Hare Airport Transit System Inc., alleging that they failed to keep their premises reasonably safe.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he sustained serious personal injuries. The plaintiff holds defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to properly align the erected railed cab stand and the pavement on their premises.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds $50,000 plus court costs. He is represented by Randall F. Peters of Randall F. Peters & Associates in Chicago.
