CHICAGO — An Illinois woman is suing Blitt and Gaines P.C. and Portfolio Recovery Associates L.L.C. for alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
Dana Foust filed a complaint on June 15 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, alleging the defendants sent a collection letter to her which contained false representations regarding her debt, despite knowing she is already being represented by an attorney.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages, court costs and any further relief this court grants. She is represented by Celetha Chatman and Michael Wood of Community Lawyers Group. Ltd. in Chicago.
