CHICAGO — Sears Hometown & Outlet Stores Inc. is suing a Texas construction company, alleging breach of contract involving equipment orders.
Sears filed its complaint on June 15 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Rise Residential Construction LP. alleging the Texas business failed to pay the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges the defendant allegedly failed to pay for equipment, appliances and other merchandise it ordered.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $300,000, plus interest, court costs and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Fredric A. Cohen and Jonathon E. Hitz of Cheng Cohen LLC in Chicago.
