CHICAGO — A labor group is suing Realty & Mortgage Building Services Co., an Illinois corporation, citing an alleged breach of contract.
A local affiliate of the Service Employees International Union filed a complaint on June 19 in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois against Realty & Mortgage Building Services Co., alleging the corporation failed to remit employees' monthly contributions to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege the Local No. 1 SEIU Pension Trust Fund and Local No. 1 SEIU Health Fund were hurt financially due to the unpaid contributions.
The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant for $15,522.09, court costs, interest, liquidated damages and any further relief the court grants. They are represented by Robert B. Greenberg of Asher, Gittler & D'Alba Ltd. in Chicago.
