CHICAGO —  A deceased woman's family is suing Warren Barr (South Loop) and affiliated entities for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent the woman's death from an infection.

Angela Sanchez, independent executor of the estate of Dolores J. Sanchez, filed a complaint on June 30 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to provide Dolores J. Sanchez with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Sanchez contracted an infection that led to her death after the defendants' employees reportedly left her unsupervised in her bed, resulting in her allegedly laying on urine-soaked sheets. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly allowing unsanitary conditions to exist.

The plaintiff seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by D. Jeffrey Comeau of O'Connor & Nakos Ltd. in Chicago.
