CHICAGO — A deceased woman's family is suing dentist Jeremy Winter and Studio Dental LLC, alleging insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence, contributing to her death.
Demetrius Hodges, independent administrator of the estate of Carolyn Hodges, filed a complaint on June 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, alleging the defendants failed to either address the pain Carolyn Hodges said she was experiencing, refer her to an oral surgeon or perform a CT scan. The plaintiff claims the defendants' acts ultimately led to Hodges' death in 2016. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose Hodges' condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount that exceeds the jurisdiction of this court. He is represented by Michael S. Shinsky and Erin R. Doyle of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in Chicago.
