Heirs of deceased patient accuse Chicago Cardiology Institute SC, employees for negligence

CHICAGO — The heirs of a deceased patient are suing Lou Ivanovic M.D., Chicago Cardiology Institute SC, and several employees for allegedly taking insufficient measures to prevent injuries and negligence.

Stefan and Aleksandar Ostojic, heirs of Mile R. Ostojic, filed a complaint on June 29 in Cook County Circuit Court, allegingthe defendant failed to provide Ostojic with proper medical care.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege Ostojic sustained serious physical injuries that contributed to the deterioration of his health. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to properly diagnose and treat Ostojic's obstructive sleep apnea condition.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000 plus court costs. 

The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Radusa Ostojic, of Chicago.
